Saving money on groceries, clothing, books and more is possible through the use of coupons.  If you’ve tried coupons in the past and were disappointed with the results – chances are you were relying on the coupons you find in your local newspaper.  There are a number of online sources for printing coupons to help you save money – and most of them can be combined with the coupons from your newspaper or store circulars for bonus savings.

The trick to saving money with coupons is to combine a coupon with a sale price item and to stockpile on items you use frequently when it is on sale and you have coupons for the items.  Here are a number of coupon websites you can visit to find and print coupons to begin your money saving journey:

  • CouponBug.com – When you visit Coupon Bug you enter your zip code to find coupons specific to your area.  The coupons available for your location are displayed in categories so you can find the products you’re looking for.
  • Coupons.com – You can search for coupons via location with coupons.com.  In addition to finding coupons, this site is a good resource for finding recipes. Try searching for recipes for the products that you have coupons for!
  • CouponSurfer.com – Once you register with couponsurfer.com you get access to more than 294 money saving coupons in categories for groceries, dining, online shopping and gifts.
  • CouponMom.com – In addition to standard grocery coupons, Couponmom.com offers deals like free samples and ability to purchase a $25 restaurant certificate for about $2.
  • CoolSavings.com – One of the largest online coupon sites, coolsavings.com offers babies and kids coupons, health and beauty, travel, electronics, personal finance, and home and garden. In addition to coupons, you can find a section devoted to free sample offers.
  • Fatwallet.com – From coupons to cash rebates, Fatwallet.com offers more than 2,500 retailers that you can search and find offers for instantly.  Users of Fatwallet.com frequently share coupon codes for retailers, too.
  • Retailmenot.com –If you’re looking to shop online, retailmenot.com offers online coupon codes to be sued at more than 40,000 online stores.

When you get into the habit of printing coupons for the items you’re going to buy, you will save money on the products you need.  Learning to combine multiple coupons and sale items will further your coupon savings and help keep more of your money in your pocket or available to invest in savings.
