Well, 2010 is on the verge of conclusion and the last two years have been quite tumultuous in terms of economic instability and the phenomenally swift recovery. Considering the dire fate that the US economy underwent (which affected a lot of other economies as well in the form of, what can be called, a derived economic recession) in the last couple of years, the fact that it has sprung back on it’s feet so fast is commendable indeed. Moody’s Credit Rating

Stocks were mixed in today’s session after Moody’s Credit Rating Agency announced they were going to downgrade Ireland’s credit rating. Ireland can add more problems to their growing list; this morning Moody’s announced they were downgrading Irelands foreign and local-currency government bond ratings from Aa2 to Baa1, the new rating is just three levels above junk status. Today’s news comes just weeks after Ireland had to ask the European Union for an $85 billion euro, or $113 billion dollar bailout. Ireland’s debt crisis has been heightening and the Country was on the verge of a financial collapse; it was reported a couple of days ago that the union approved the rescue package. Read more…
